Apple has recently had to bear the brunt of the rise of low-budget android phones packed with a plethora of features. There is no denying the fact that the competition has taken a serious turn over the past year and the luster of the champion phone seller has started fading a little. Though they still have a dedicated market for their phones, Apple has shown signs of adding some open end features to their phones recently, which makes them more widely compatible.
At the recent Worldwide Developers conference held in San Francisco, there was the announcement of a host of new features across different Apple Platforms by Tim Cook and his team. These include a significant update to IOS 10 and mac OS X being renamed MacOS. Besides this, there were also updates announced to the tvOS 10 as well as the iwatch OS3.All these recent developments hint towards the fact that apple is attempting to broaden its specter, by adding common features that budget android app development has been offering for a while now.
Work on the beta versions for the IOS app development of these features has been going on for a while now and they shall be made available on your Apple devices in September. Besides this, all the latest news and information about the updates shall be made available to you directly on your Apple TV, I Pad, I watch as well as I phones.
This is a feature that’s been provided by Google Photos on android phones since a long time. When you click a number of pictures at a certain location, it forms a cluster of these pictures and names them accordingly. This gives way to convenience while searching for the pictures later.
With the help of this feature your IPhone shall now send automatic messages to you along with your voicemail, instead of you having to dial your voicemail to retrieve messages. This is ideal for email ids as well as phone numbers. This service was introduced back in the year 2000, known as the Spin Box, but later it just seemed to vanish.
So with this feature, if you have an iPhone, you can copy data to the universal clipboard and it shall sync with your Mac. It’s very useful for copying pictures, links, songs etc. Android users have been using dropbox to solve the same purpose for a while. Besides this, the ‘carryover search’ option provided by Google, the sync happens but it doesn’t have the clipboard function. So this new feature is a definite plus point for Apple users.
This feature has had a total revamp and it remains to be seen whether it gains momentum this time around. Earlier due to the release of Spotify, Apple music had to face failure, because people didn’t really feel the need to own their music.
This feature will help in sorting out unwanted calls that bug you. It is pretty much the same as android though’ just that Android tends to bombard your screen with alternate search results; hopefully Apple will find a way around that.
There is this feature where the maps shall be better integrated and shall make navigation easier. However this is already being done really well by Google Maps on Android Phones, so it remains to be seen how Apple plans to better that.
Even though these new ios app developments aren’t exactly groundbreaking, they can definitely pave way for a head start to taking Apple to the next level of becoming the complete package, and probably justify its cost to a greater extent.
